How soon should I start looking for a house to lease?

I currently live in Dallas, Texas and am thinking about moving to Austin in August. I have been perusing the internet lately looking at houses for lease. Am I looking too early? Am I just wasting my time looking for places 3 months in advance? Or am I too late? How early should I be looking and when is a good time to speak to someone about certain places, is there a too early date? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I went into a residential lease agreement for 2 years. I vacated the house after a year, giving 2 months notice to the landlord as per agreement. Its been more than 4 months now and he is yet to pay back my lease amount, but demanding for the house keys. Am I obliged to give the house keys before he had settled the amount?
Am staying in India, so kindly I need legal advice according to Indian Law.
I was staying in Bangalore and got settled in Chennai, now.

I know that in America you can lease purchase your house whereby you have a morgage to the owner and he in turn may have one to the bank. Can you do that in the UK?

One of the potential applicant for leasing my house in Houston is a real estate agent.
Is it a good idea to lease it to a real estate agent? He will be more picky about the property and will complain more because he knows the system and will try to exploit it.

If house lease ends, do you have to give notice before hand?

If a lease has a clause stating the tenant must give a three-month notice if breaking lease, when the actual lease period is coming to an end, is that three-month notice still required?

is a lease valid on a house not mortgaged as rental property with landlord’s lender?

My room mate and i rent a house and we found out that the house isn’t mortgaged as rental property, it’s just listed as our LL being the primary dweller of the residence. From what I’ve gathered by different sites and info, is that a person with a mortgage has to go to their lender and get a consent to lease before they can rent out their house? if this is correct is the lease we signed even legally binding?

I came home one day and the house was empty. I called my roommate and she said that she had something worked out with the landlord. The landlord says that he told her he’d look into letting her out of the lease but hasnt made a decision or called her back. As the remaining tennant, what can I do? Can the landlord really let her out of the lease and stick me for the full rent? I live in virginia.

I am moving out of a leased house on May 5 with 2 months of rent remaining. My landlord says I need to pay her rent as it is due in May and June, then she will send me my security deposit because the security deposit cannot be used for last months rent. I believe that this applies to the last month that I am physically in the house (April). In California, landlords must return deposit within 21 days of vacating the apartment. My security deposit was for 2 months rent. Am I wrong to assume that we should just “settle up” after I vacate the apartment in May using the funds from the security deposit?
Since the security deposit is due to me within 21 days after I move out, are we not just “swapping” money? She has already inspected the house and found no major damages.
That’s the point I am trying to make. if she inspects the house and no damages are found, why would I give the landlord more money and wait for her to send me a check. I am paying my bills and have no additional liability to the landlord.
