Should I repair my house’s foundation before extending my home?
ByI have been wanted to extend my home like 5 feet but I also have foundation problems. I’m not extending the house too much so I’m not sure if I should wait till I have extended it and then repair the foundation.

Foundation problems can be very serious. Yes, you should repair your foundation before you do an addition to the house of any size. Adding a room now would just add to the problems later.

If the foundation needs repairs, the sooner it is done the better.

You need to repair the foundation first, even a small amount like five feet could affect the entire structure of the home and could also cause more damage to the foundation in the long run.
