How soon should I start looking for a house to lease?
ByI currently live in Dallas, Texas and am thinking about moving to Austin in August. I have been perusing the internet lately looking at houses for lease. Am I looking too early? Am I just wasting my time looking for places 3 months in advance? Or am I too late? How early should I be looking and when is a good time to speak to someone about certain places, is there a too early date? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I say now is a good time. Leases expire throughout the year and a landlord would be pleased to line up someone for a vacancy they have coming up in 3 months. If you are having no success on your own, you can always contact a real estate agent and they can aid you in looking for a house to lease as well.
